Fall 2011 Semester result has been announced. The students may check their respective Grade Books on VULMS.

NOTE:

The Transcript of Record as well as other certificates of all graduating(Pass-out) students will be dispatched to them in a single envelope within 7 working days of the publication of result except the following:
1. RL cases
2. Outstanding VU dues
3. Pending Paper Rechecking requests
A student who wants to get his/her paper(s) rechecked is advised to visit the Student Servicessection on VULMS.
The next exam i.e. Spring 2012 Mid Term will commence, according to VU Academic Calendar, during the 2^nd week of May, 2012. Please note that the Date Sheet interface will be made available approx. 30 days before the start of the examination.

here are answers:

What is Next of Kin:

Next of kin is simply a person's closest living blood relative or relatives in case the account holder is died and court declares him/her as next of kin. So that person whose NIC was submitted at the time of account opening as next of kin, can take over the bank balances of the account holder.

What is Basic Banking Account (BBA):

BBA is a non-remunerative account with limited services individual account holders only and does not contained service charges it includes student account, salary account, widow account etc.

In case of BBA unlimited ATM withdrawals and maximum two deposit transactions & two debit withdrawals are allowed free of charge while more than this limit will be charged as per tariff of bank's charges.

Difference between BBA Account and Current Account:

Basic Banking Account (BBA):

BBA= These are opened for low incomes individuals with no profit payment and with no service charges on 2 deposit transactions and two debit withdrawals. Initial Deposit is Rs.1000

Current Account:

Current Account opened for low incomes as well as high income as busniess man.. and its intial deposit rs 5000.

What is SS Card:

SS Card (Signature Specimen Card) :

Bank maintains a Card which has two specimen (sample) signatures of the account holder. Normally, banks scan the signature and store them in computer. Bank kept the record to check the validity of the signatures at the time of payment .

what is Letter of Credit (LC):

A letter of credit is issued by the importer's bank. If guarantees payment to the exporter up to specified amount of money provided the terms and conditions laid down the L/C are fulfilled.

How many Types of Clearings:

Two types: i)- Inward Clearing ii)- Outward Clearing

Difference B/W Inward Clearing and Outward Clearing:

Inward Clearing:

If Our branch cheque is presented in another bank than the process of collection of amount mentioned in cheque from us in the favour of that another bank via NIFT, is called inward clearing. it means outflow of money from our bank branch.

Outward Clearing:

Similarly, If another bank or branch cheque is presented in our branch than collection of amount mentioned in cheque from us in the favour of our branch via NIFT, is called outward clearing. it means inflow of money to our bank branch.
